First of all, this work inspired by the periodic table of Mendelejev and the year 2019 was the 150th anniversary after his invention. In addition to this, the exhibition was dedicated to the 100th anniversary year after the birth of Primo Levi, Italian scientific writer, famous for his experience of escape from the holocaust.

The science for me is something really mystic and spiritual, not only something material. For this reason I have a profound respect for the Alchemy of Paracelsus. Sometimes he is misunderstood, but fortunately I have an important friend of mine who put his theory in practice and became one of the best chefs in Italy(for me in the world), the legendary Arturo of the “Latteria” of Milan from 1969, he made me understood that the real Alchemy is an attitude for life and nature with which you express your respect and gratitude in everything you do for them. He gave me this title, originally it is that of an important book about Alchemy of 1666.

The place of the picture is in Rozzano, near Milan, at the park of the campus and the research center of Humanitas University, one of the best research lab hospitals in Italy. The tree is a kind of protector, the biggest and the most beautiful tree from which i was fascinated every time I see it. The place is in a scientific context, but i like the idea that a natural factor, the tree in this case, plays an important part in that place. In a foggy morning, the scene was something surreal and the tree was astonishingly beautiful as all the rest of it. I understood immediately that I was waiting for that moment. I discovered a bit later that quite every element of the periodic table was in the image and in all the materials i used for the realization.

A friend of mine cried watching the picture. She said this image touches the most deepest part of human emotions. I was passing a difficult time when I took this picture but always with my camera in my hand, in search of my redemption.

If you want to see the real light, sometimes you need to put yourself into the darkness.
