Jakuchu Ito (1716-1800) was my master of painting. He observed months one thing without drawing it to make an art. This approach was not nonsense if you understand that every image you see is your own creation. Watercolor is the most difficult technique considering the fluidity of the water. This transient aspect is related to the zen philosophy of life. For this reason in Asia (especially in China and Japan) there is a great tradition of it.
I hope this piece can give you a new and ancient sight of life as Heraclitus explained; “we both step and do not step in the same rivers.”
